Polly Bongiorno || Myotherapist
Polly Bongiorno completed her Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy at RMIT in 2004 and since has worked as a Myotherapist and Remedial Massage Therapist in Melbourne and internationally.
Polly employs a multi-faceted ‘hands on’ manual approach to the treatment of musculoskeletal disorders, functional limitations and pain. She uses a variety of modalities such as Trigger Point Release techniques, Dry Needling, Cupping, Deep Tissue Massage, MET, Myofascial Release Techniques, in addition to Corrective Exercise Prescription and Pain Science Education.
An avid runner herself, Polly is particularly interested in running injury management, recovery and performance, and enjoys developing running-based skill and strength conditioning programs.
Polly specifically employs a ‘mind-body’ approach to her treatments, merging current neuroscience knowledge with the ancient techniques of Yoga, Traditional Chinese Medicine and Ayurveda. She aims to promote Whole Body Health by linking function and movement of the physical body with the capacity of the Mind and Spirit. Polly plans to further study Yoga Teaching and Therapy to enhance her treatment outcomes.
